Mrs. Millinea Threet, age 86, of Florence, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 after a brief illness.
Visitation will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the College View Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Harold Comer, Bro. Mark White, Ed Threet and Berlin Chumbley officiating. Burial will follow in the Florence City Cemetery.
Mrs. Threet was a graduate of Coffee High School and a faithful member of College View Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God. She spent her life serving her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years Grady Edwin Threet; a son Grady Edwin Threet, Jr. of Florence; a daughter Martha Threet Chumbley and husband Berlin of Hueytown, Alabama; grandchildren Adam Taylor Threet, Abby Lauren Threet, David Lewis Chumbley, Catherine Bess Chumbley, William Michael Chumbley and Molly Anne Qin Chumbley; a sister Elaine Hibbett and husband Lester of Temple Terrace, Florida; many wonderful nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earlie and Bessie Williams.
Pallbearers will be Adam Threet, David Chumbley, Will Chumbley, Jerry Crowell, Sonny Owens, Bob Sneed, Bobby Griffin and Rob Hibbett.
A special thanks to Dr. Danny McFall, Dr. Felix Morris, the nurses and staff of CCU and 5th floor of ECM Hospital.
