Mrs. Monica R. Hunt, age 79, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Monica and Bryce met in Germany while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They were married in 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwig and Bertha Rudinger and a grandson Robert Neal Hunt.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Florence. The Rev. David A. Doroh will officiate and burial will follow in Tri-Cites Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bryce B. Hunt; son, Robert Hunt and wife Sandra, Florence; grandson John Alan Hunt and wife Elizabeth, Florence; great-granddaughters Ryleigh Hunt (Neal''s daughter) and Abbey Hunt (Alan''s daughter).
Pallbearers will be John Alan Hunt, Tommy Hunt, Chris Hunt, Jack Sarakani, Lonnie Harbin and James Montgomery.
