Morris A. 'M.A.' Owen Sr. Decatur
Funeral for Morris A. "M.A." Owen Sr., 72, of Decatur will be Thursday, January 27, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Morris A. "M.A." Owen Sr. expired on January 24, 2011, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born September 27, 1938, in Lawrence County to Leon Owen and Odell Sparks Owen. He retired from General Motors after 30-plus years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Battles Owen; one son, Morris Albert Owen Jr.; two daughters, Pamela Owen Miller and Paula Owen; one brother, James M. Owen; two sisters, Beth Owen Evans and Sharron Owen Peck; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many friends and relatives; and a special friend, Frank.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy L. and Jerry Owen; and one sister, Judy Owen Taylor.
