Myrtis L. Pounders, 79, of Killen died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 24, 2013, from 12-2 PM at Center Star United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Bro. Ian Butler and Sis. Carolyn Goforth officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.
Mrs. Pounders was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey and Vina Hanback; daughter, Mitzi Sanderson; sister, Clara Bourn; brothers, Alvin Hanback, Arlie Hanback, and Milford Hanback.
Mrs. Pounders is survived by her husband of 33 years, LC Pounders; son, Steven L. Bevis; three grandchildren, Lovie Walden (Earl), Savanna Bevis, and Will Bevis; two great-grandchildren, Kayle and Daniel; brother, Hartis Hanback (Annie Ruth); several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
