Myrtle Holden, 86, of Killen died Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Elkins East Chapel from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, December 19, 2014, at Elkins East Chapel at 11 AM, with Bro. Andy Erwin officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Holden was a member at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Ottis Holden; son, Glenn Holden; 6 brothers, John D., Hollis, Lonzie, Marvin, Garvin, and Dommie Clemmons; four sisters, Madgeline Holden, Delia Cummings, Dorthy Young, and Sue Collins; special friend Talmadge Giles.
Mrs. Holden is survived by her son, Dale Holden (Shelia); brother, James Audie Clemmons; 6 grandchildren, Lee Holden (Sharlene), Kelli Holden-Jeffreys (Kevin), Heath Holden, Mitchell Holden (Anna), Tyler Holden (Leah), and Sianna Purser (Ross); 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Brad Tank, Gaylon Holden, Harlon Clemmons, Curtis "Junior" Corum, and David Holden.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals and Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for all the love and care they showed.
