Funeral for Myrtle "Tootsie" Garrison, 81, of Hartselle will be Friday, November 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Basham Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garrison, who died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at her residence, was born June 23, 1931, in Morgan County to Frank and Fairelena Thompson. She was a lifetime member of Basham United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Isaac Garrison; and one daughter, Rhonda Jo Garrison.
Survivors include one son, Steve Garrison and his wife, Sharlene; one granddaughter, LeAnn Garrison; two grandsons, Joshua Garrison and Matthew Garrison; and two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Brentley.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and Frank Spain, Rodney Oliver, Myron Thompson and Darrell Thompson.
