Nadean Scott Conklin, 94, passed away peacefully at home with her beloved family at her side on November 02, 2023.

Nadean, the eldest of seven children, was born August 30, 1929 to William Felix Jacobs and Velma Jesse Stoops Jacobs in Lawrence County, AL. After graduating from Austinville High School in 1948, she started working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Shortly thereafter, Nadean married Clyde Rufus Scott, the love of her life, September 17, 1949. They made Decatur, AL their home and welcomed two children together: Lisa Lynn and Kimberly Renee. After more than a decade of service at the Goodyear plant, Nadean worked as manager of Top Value Stamp Company and then several insurance companies before retiring as a full-time grandmother.

She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Her roles as mother and grandmother brought her much joy. Nadean enjoyed traveling both nationally and internationally, including trips to Israel, Nova Scotia and the Western United States. She had a passion for music, and especially enjoyed the talents of Elvis Presley and Daniel O'Donnell.

Nadean is survived by her daughters: Lisa Scott Littrell (Thomas Avery Littrell III) and Kimberly Scott Silver; grandchildren Thomas Avery Littrell IV (Christa Sikes Littrell), Mary Elizabeth Littrell and James Clyde Silver (Kelsey Prather); and great grandchildren Emma Graves Littrell and Thomas Avery Littrell V.

Nadean is also survived by her sisters Lorene Terry, Bernice Bradby and Brenda Joyce Reynolds, and brother Jerry Jacobs.

Nadean is preceded in death by her parents: William Felix Jacobs and Velma Jesse Stoops Jacobs; her brothers S. B. Jacobs and Hansell Jacobs; her first husband Clyde Rufus Scott; and her second husband Fred Conklin.
