Funeral for Nadine Spears, 86, of Decatur will be today, October 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Spears, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2010. She was born July 20, 1924, in Lawrence County to Patti Rutherford Williams and Huey E. Williams. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to work in her yard and can food from her garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Spears; one son, Randy Keith Spears; and two brothers, Sam Williams and Demp Williams.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Spears Cobb and Evon Spears Shelton (Max), both of Decatur; two brothers, Edward Williams and Hershel Williams, both of Trinity; four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous friends and loved ones.
