Nancy Lea Wallace, age 61, of Florence, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 after a three-year battle with cancer.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Rev. Donnie McDaniel will officiate. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Nancy was an active member of the Underwood Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother Frank Fanning; her parents "Shorty" and Rowena Fanning and her husband Jerry Lee Wallace. She enjoyed her horses, and cooking, sewing and gardening. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Traci Willis and husband Shawn of Muscle Shoals; a son Trent L. Wallace of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren Erin Willis, Caleb Willis, Olivia Wallace and Nikolas Wallace; a brother R.E."Bud" Fanning and wife Dean of Florence; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Abernathy, Robert Brewer, Joe Darby, Joey Crumbley, Lanny Bruce and Bud Lemmond.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Jr. for his special care.
