Neecie Careen Campbell Butler age 89 of Elgin, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Elkins East Chapel. Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel with Bro. Ian Butler officiating. Burial will be at Barkley Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Edward Butler. Three brothers and four sisters.

Careen is survived by her children, Jerry Butler (Ann Marie), Troy Butler (Dixie) and Joey Butler (Belinda). Seven grandchildren; Kyle Butler (Dawn), Rodney Butler (Jennifer), Melanie Butler, Curt Butler (Kelly), Cory Butler (Ashley), Kellie Prater (Henry) and Amy Bishop (Daniel). Eight great-grandchildren; Blair Holden (Dustin), Cody Butler, Jesse Butler, Ava Butler, Camron Butler, McKenzie Butler, Cooper Butler and Isabella Butler. Two great-great-grandchildren; Brody Butler and Avery Holden. And many nieces and nephews.

She was a loving Mother and Grandmother. Her favorite times were when she was surrounded by family. Careen was a member of Elgin United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Kyle Butler, Rodney Butler, Curt Butler, Cory Butler, Daniel Bishop and Henry Prater. And great-grandsons Cody Butler and Jesse Butler.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to caregivers Sue Grisham and Bobbie Jo Thigpen for their loving care and thoughtfulness in taking care of our Mother.
