Ninnie Esther Baker, 89, of Decatur died June 6, 2012. She was born to Walter and Ninnie Brown Roberts on June 10, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baker. She is survived by one stepson, William "Buddy" Baker, Hartselle. She is preceded in death by five brothers, Kyle, Lyle, Emmett, Eschol and John Earl Roberts; one sister, Edna Roberts of Decatur. She had six nephews, A.Z. Tucker (Elizabeth), Wayne Roberts (Judy), Trinity, John Cloves Roberts (Mary), Decatur, Willard Roberts, deceased, (Birdie), Decatur, Avery Roberts, deceased, (Mary), Decatur, James Roberts, deceased, Trinity, and Gar Defenthaler (Toni), Trinity. Seven nieces, Martha Sparks, Trinity, Cricket McGraw, Patricia Decatur, Birmingham, Margaret (Jim) Collins, Decatur, Alice Drummond (Deltis), Jasper, Linda Poole (Johnny), Trinity, and Mary Cole Gay, deceased, (Jack), Decatur.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Brother Ellis Roberts, great-nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marlon Tucker, Marshall Tucker, Bryan Strickland, Larry Carry, Ginger (Tucker) Sparks and Gina Tucker.
