Obituary

Norma J. (Sue) Holden, 77, of Killen died Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at J.W. Summer.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2023, 5-8 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 8, 2023, 11 AM in the chapel with Bro. Danny Holden officiating. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery.

Sue was a member of First Baptist Church; she loved to stay on the go and always had a bag packed. Her greatest love was watching her grandchildren perform music. She was an avid Alabama Fan.

She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Scott; granddaughter, Ashley Scott; parents: Clifford and Marjorie Cabler; in-laws, Arnold and Millinee Holden; brothers: Norman, Ralph, and Ronnie Joe Cabler.

Sue is survived by her husband, David Holden; children: Carol Hale (Warren), Melinda Goodson, and Teresa Tate (Bill); sister, Donna Abernathy; brother, Tim Cabler (Tammy); grandchildren: Jason Hale (Haley), Lucas Hale (Candis), Emily Bailey (Drew), Tiffany Murks (Jason), Whitney Heathcoat (Dustin), Ryan Faulkner, and Seth Faulkner; great-grandchildren: Auna-Kate, Alexandria, Evan, Maddie, Cadence, Doodle, Colton, Riley, Alyssa, Piper, Buddy, Bella, Holden, Caleb, Brayden, and Camden; brother-in-law, Anthony Holden; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
