Chris Thornton, 58, of Florence died Saturday, December 30, 2023, at NAMC.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2024, 12-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery.

Chris was a graduate of Coffee High School class of 1983. He also received his associates degree in computer programming and electronics from Shoals Community College. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was baptized.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Hart Lee Thornton.

Chris is survived by his loving mother, Betty Thornton; sister, Leslie Warren (Chuck); nephew, Wesley Warren; and numerous cousins.
