Dewell "Dalton" Reed, age 90, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 2, 2024.

Dalton was born February 18, 1933 to Dewey and Ruby Reeves Reed in Lawrence County Alabama.
He worked as a farmer in Mount Hope, Alabama before enlisting into the army in 1954 and served until 1962.
He retired from Mount Hope High School in 1995 as a maintenance employee.  He was known there as the "Colonel" by many of the staff and students.

Dalton was predeceased by his father, Dewey Reed, mother, Ruby Reeves Reed and one brother, Bobby Dewey Reed.
He is survived by his nephew, Micha Reed (Monica), niece , Diane Clemons (Chris), great nephews: Scott Breeding, Kyle Breeding and Logan Reed (Presley), great niece, Brianna Reed Albrecht (Steven) and great-great nephew, Rhett Albrecht.
Pallbearers will be : Scott Breeding, Kyle Breeding, Logan Reed and Steven Albrecht.
