Donald Wayne Darling passed away on March 19, 2025 at the age of 77. He was a resident of Florence.

Don truly knew it was better to give than receive. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and spending time with his family. He retired from teaching masonry after many years. He was passionate about teaching and helping his student any way that he could. Although he is not physically with us, he will forever be in our hearts.

Mr. Darling is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Darling; children, Regina Crosslin (John), Tina Green, and Donald Darling II; grandchildren, Kyle Green (Haley), Drew Green (Madison), Krysten Richardson (Ben), Amber Thompson (Taylor), Addie Crosslin, and Alex Darling, Bryn and Blakely Darling; great-grandchildren, Haddock Green, Oakley Green, Jett Thompson, and Beck Thompson; and siblings, Jimmy Darling, Mike Darling, Diane King, and Lisa Box (Danny).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred Darling; and siblings, Ann Ware and David Darling.

Mr. Darling was a member of Cornerstone Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Central Elementary School.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 1:00 at Cornerstone Church of Christ with a fish fry at 2:00. Dress will be casual at dad's request. (The family attire will be t-shirts designed by dad).
