George Steven Pickens, age 62 of Florence, passed away at his home on July 12, 2023. A visitation will be held at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence on Sunday, July 16th from 5pm - 8pm. Graveside services will be held at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens on Monday, July 17th at 10am. His family will serve as pallbearers for the service.

Mr. Pickens is survived by his wife, Melody Pickens; sister; Glynes Balentine; brothers, David, Carl "Chip", and Joey Pickens; a host of nieces and nephews; and his live-in caregiver and friend, Reggie Meade.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Pickens and Betty Nix Pickens; and a sister, Cindy Pickens.
