Mr. James Ray Kephart, age 93 of Florence, passed away on April 9, 2024. Services will be held at the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel in Florence on Monday, April 15 at 12pm. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Florence City Cemetery immediately following services. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mr. Kephart is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Ray Kephart and Frances Beatrice Marks Kephart; step-mother, Ester Lee Yates Kephart; and siblings, Margaret Alice Naomi Kephart and Robert Louis Kephart. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Elizabeth Jones Kephart; children, James Steven Kephart (Deborah), Thomas Keith Kephart (Brenda), and Robert Kent Kephart; and grandchildren, James Steven Kephart Jr., Derek Thomas Kephart, Thomas Benjamin Kephart, Barbara Elizabeth Kephart, and Jennifer Renee Gaither.

Mr. Kephart served in the United States Army.
