James D. ``Jimmy" Miller, 79, of Decatur passed away on June 9, 2024 at his residence. He will have a visitation on Thursday June 13, 2024 at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. His funeral will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the chapel with Patsy Cole officiating. The Burial will follow at Union Hill Freewill Baptist church Cemetery.

Jimmy was born in Calhoun County to Lamar and Catherine Miller. He is Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Miller, He was a Vietnam Veteran, and Chairman of the House Committee VFW 4190.

He is Survived by his son James "Jim" Miller of Decatur, and brother Dennis Miller of Eva, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Preston Ronald Hanes, Ed Davidson, Tony Harris, Nolan Fowler, Joel Herring, Jessie Tittsworth, Nic Culver.
