Jane Armstrong, 82, passed peacefully in her home on May 7, 2023, surrounded by family. Elliot Service Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family. Per Jane's wishes, there will be no funeral.

Jane graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1960. She continued her education during her career and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Athens State in 1986. She retired from Civil Service at USAMC, Redstone Arsenal in 1996 at a GS12 level. Jane was an inspiration to her family, co-workers, teachers, friends, classmates and employers. Despite the many health and physical limitations she faced throughout her lifetime, Jane still set a standard of hard work, determination and grit that influenced those in her life in amazing ways!

Jane had many nieces and nephews that meant the world to her and brought great joy to her life! She will be remembered by those who knew her as someone who faced adversity with strength and dignity and loved her family big!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Annie "Dee" Thompson Armstrong, and brothers, Don Armstrong, Josh(Ruth)Armstrong, Dale(Faye)Armstrong, and Billy Armstrong and sister Grace Armstrong.

She is survived by sisters Ann(Elvin) Dutton, Shirley(Bob)Clifton and sister in law, Jewel Armstrong.
