Jeffery Thomas Smith, 69 of Florence, AL passed away Sunday, August 17th, 2025. He was born and raised in Lauderdale County and retired from Florence Fire Department with a Medal of Honor. He was a member of Bass Masters, North Alabama Bass Fishing, and SMALLMOUTH INC. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

The Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 @ 11:00a.m. at Journey Church (3350 Co. Rd. 200, in Central) following, we will have a Balloon Release at Colbert Ferry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Smith, and parents Tom & Betty Smith.

Survivors include his daughter, Deanna Greenhill (Braxton); sisters, Wanda Kelley, Paula Darling, and Karen Mitchell (Jeff); grandchildren, Payton Russum, Cayden Greenhill, Braelynn Greenhill, Haevynn Greenhill, and Savannah Greenhill; and many nieces and nephews.
