Mr. John C Hardeman born November 10, 1939 passed away July 17, 2025 at home. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21 the Elkins Funeral Home in Florence from 5pm- 8pm. Services will be held the following day, July 22, at St. James Methodist Church beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

He is  proceeded in death by wife, Laura Hardeman, parents Frank and Lucille Hardeman, brother Julius Hardeman and sister  Ann Sawyer survived by daughter Elizabeth Hardeman , grandson, William, Brooks, wife Jessica, numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graduate of Coffee high school and the university of North Alabama , he worked at Reynolds medals for 35 years. Then went on to help open the Hampton Inn on Florence Boulevard and later the Marriott. Cooking, football and Church are just some things he enjoyed. Watching football with his daughter was something they both enjoyed, red crimson red was his favorite color and he would only drive a red car .Everyone you ask will tell you how sweet and loving my daddy was ,he is now reunited with his love of over 60 years. They are seeing things together that we have only heard about. I love you, daddy and I'll see you again soon.

Pallbearers are Al Chard, Tony Chard, Sam Chard. Bob Dolan, David Dolan and Jimmy Oliver.
