Funeral Service for Lockie Mae Stokes Woodard will be Tuesday at 2:00PM, November 7, 2023, at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Johnson officiating. The visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial was at Aldridge Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodard died Thursday, November 2.  She was born May 6, 1942 in Lawrence County to Alfred and Kerena Stokes.

She was the wife of Billy Ross Woodard (deceased) and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

She was a dental hygienist prior to becoming a mother and later along with her husband owned Draper's Market and Woodard Sales.  She also enjoyed working at The Shelton House in the latter part of her career.

She is survived by her children, Luci Rebecca Woodard, Linda Woodard Nichols, and John Gregory Woodard.  She dearly loved her grandchildren Garrett Nichols, son of Linda, and granddaughter Ida Woodard, daughter of John.  She is also survived by sister, Alpha Johnson Wallace.

Preceding her in death was sister, Bonita Morgan.

Pallbearers were:  John Woodard, Garrett Nichols, Charles Morgan, Glenn Johnson, Tony Woodard, and Scotty Woodard.
