Nancy Namie Carmichael

August 15, 1936 - September 12, 2022

Nancy Carmichael, age 86, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on September 12, 2022.

She was born to Louis and Estelle Namie on August 15, 1936, in Decatur, AL.

She was a graduate of Decatur High School in 1956 and attended Auburn University

majoring in Art. She married her soulmate, Glenn D. Carmichael, on August 28, 1972 and lived in Huntsville

together for 30 years before his passing. She served many years working in administration for NASA and the US Army

at Redstone Arsenal. She was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, and mother to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Glenn Carmichael.

Survivors include her brother Louis Namie, son Glenn (Gabe) Carmichael, daughter and son-in-law

Ashley and Jeff Ray and three grandsons, Garrett Carmichael and Jackson and Will Ray.

There will be a graveside family service prior to burial at Roselawn Cemetary in Decatur, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
