After the war he attended dental school in Memphis, TN at the University of Tennessee Dental School. He began practicing dentistry in Florence in 1950, retiring in the 1980s. He and his beloved wife Judy loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed their worldwide adventures. He loved flying, photography, golf, reading, electronics (he once taught a class on how to build a computer), and puttering in his workshop doing delicate cabinetry and woodwork.
