Royce Marie Whitehead,89 of Decatur will have a visitation Tuesday from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at Ridout's Brown Service and Graveside at 2:00 Pm at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Whitehead was born on August 28, 1932 to Roy and Mary Williams, both deceased, and went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2022 at her residence.

The Family would like to thank the dedicated support and compassionate care from the staff at SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice up to her passing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson, 2 brothers Arbun Gene and Lloyd Edward, sister Carlene, and 2 sons Gary Wayne and Kennie Roy.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Pearl Hughes, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Royce enjoyed listening to music, doing word search puzzles, attending church, and telling funny jokes.

She retired from Decatur General Hospital after 37 years of service as the Shift Supervisor of the Central Service Department.

She lived a life full of Joy and will be missed more than words can say.

She is forever in our hearts.
