Funeral for Russell J. Johnson, 64, of Decatur will be on Saturday January 20, 2024 at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 PM. The family will have a visitation from 12:30 PM until service time. Rev. David Holden will be officiating. Burial will be at Burningtree cemetery Monday January 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Firefighter Honors.

Mr. Johnson died January 12,2024 in Huntsville. He retired from the Decatur City Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his Brother Dennis Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Janice Johnson, daughter Leah Johnson, sons Clint Johnson (Amberly) and Jesse Smith.Grandchildren Gemma and Emmett and Noah. Brother Ron Johnson, Niece Sharron Jury, Nephews Ben Johnson, Jason Johnson, Johnny Johnson (Natasha)  Great Niece Kayla Jury, Great nephew Daniel Jury.
