Ms. Ruth Lowe Morris, age 76 of Florence, passed away at North Alabama Medical Center on October 13, 2023. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, October 15th at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence at 2pm.

Ruth loved flowers, sunsets, bird watching, rabbits, and nature. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places, but especially loved the beach. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama, a Master's of Education from Auburn, and a Master's of Counseling Education from Pensacola University. During her life she worked as a teacher, counselor, and realtor. She also enjoyed music, singing, and concerts.

Ms. Morris is survived by her daughter, Andrea James; grandchild, Hillary James; sisters, Martha Miller and Mary Richburg (Mahlon); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Seth Lowe and Mirial Alverson; and a sister, Majorie Lowe.
