Mr. Tommy Burnes Weems, age 71 of Florence, passed away Monday, May 8th at his home.

Mr. Weems is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Weems and Retha Barnes; brother, William David Weems; and a nephew, David Martin Hall. He is survived by his wife Darlene Weems; brothers, Johnny Ray Weems and Ted Auther Weems (Libby); sisters, Bonnie Weems Wimpee (Jimmy), Peggy Weems Thomas (John), and Judy Weems Pennington (James); and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Before his death, Mr. Weems was a co-owner of Weems & Associates and was later a sole owner of Shoals General Contracting. Mr. Weems was also a member of the United States National Guard.
