William Harry Hayes, 84, of Florence died Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024, 12-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hayes was a graduate of Coffee High School. He was a former member of Cross Point Church of Christ. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and then started his own landscaping business where he worked with passion. He was known as a very hard worker. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan, Atlanta Braves Fan, and Tennessee Titans Fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Markham and Veda Peden Hayes; brothers, Jerry Hayes and Doyle Wayne Hayes.

Mr. Hayes is survived by his son, Will Hayes (Allison).
