Funeral for Wayne Hooper, 74, of Trinity will be Friday, July 20, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jamie Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Hooper, who died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, was born February 19, 1933, in Lawrence County to Newton and Ida Hooper. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Wayne Blankenship. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Erline Hooper; son, Jamie Hooper and wife, Kim, of Moulton; daughter, Betty Way of Trinity; sister, Ola Larimore; seven grandchildren, Kallie, Kaleb and Kaitlin Hooper, Dennis Way, Rhonda Mote, Jerry and Ronnie Blankenship; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Hooper, Dennis Way, Nick Salas, Chuck Long, J.C. Hooper and Dustin Robbins.
