Mr. Oliver "Junior" Alexander, Jr. passed away Thursday, November 06, 2008. The funeral service of Mr. Alexander will be Sunday at Elkins East Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Tim Hester and Bill Lyons officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5-8 at the funeral home. Junior was a member of Center Star Church of Christ. He enjoyed golfing, raising cattle, working in the garden, and spending time with his buddies at the station. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and Chrysler. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Polly Alexander; brother, Cedric Alexander; and nephew, Dwight Glass. Mr. Alexander is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Alexander; daughters, Wanda Warren and husband David, and Sherry Kirk and husband Steve; sisters, Dot Trousdale, Betty Glass and husband Glen; sisters-in-law Marsue Haraway and husband T.B.; and Sara Alexander; brothers-in-law, Harlon Hill and Doyle Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was affectionately called "Paw Paw" by his five grandchildren, Alex Warren and wife Ashley, Allison Warren, Courtney Embry and husband Micah, and Ramsey and Mallory Kirk; and Paw Paw''s "Little Dudes", twin great-granddaughters, Addi and Lexi Embry. Pallbearers will be Alex Warren, Phil Alexander, Ricky Haraway, Jerry Hill, Abe South, and Jeff Holmes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Holland Green, Lawrence Collier, Arlee Tate, J.C. Gross, and Jessie Grigsby. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, the staff of Mid South Home Care, Bluewater Hospice, and a special nurse, Claudia Mardegian for her care and compassion. The family would also like to give a special thanks to friends, relatives, and neighbors for their prayers, visits, and food, and special neighbor Ester Holt
