Funeral for Opal Kerby, 84, of the C.C.Smith community will be Sunday, February 25,2007, at 2:00 PM at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Oliver and Bro. Edward LouAllen officiating. Burial will be in Gargis Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Kerby, who died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at her residence, was born November 19, 1922 in Lawrence County to Jimmy and Ruby Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lois Kerby; two sons, Danny Kerby and Wade Kerby; and her great- granddaughter, Kerby Stancil. Survivors include three daughters, Rachel Roden & husband Curtis, Faylene Shelnutt and Peggy Sims & husband Clayton; two sons, Mikan Kerby & wife Jackie and Jimmy Kerby & wife Patsy, all of Russellville; four sisters Audrey Beck, Jeanette Beck, Bobbie Masterson and Joyce Christian; two brothers James Cameron and Don Cameron; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great granchchildren.
