Graveside service for Opal M. Terry, 87, of Decatur will be today, Oct. 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Jones Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Baldwin officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home. Mrs. Terry, who died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Osgood, Ind., to J. Smith and Luella Smith Henderson. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Terry was the widow of the late Lee O. Terry and mother of the late George Michael "Mike" Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Emmett Caplinger and Willard Caplinger. Survivors include one brother, Charley S. Henderson of Brandon, Fla.; one grandson; and three great-grandsons. Pallbearers will be Lowell Thompson, Franklin Terry, Jimmy Glenn, Roger Terry, Dalton Burnett and Michael Alldredge
