01/28/1935 Funeral for Opal Jean Tidwell, 73, of Town Creek, will be Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Elliott Funeral Home with Rev. Scotty Letson and Bro. Buddy Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Donald Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9 at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Tidwell, who died at her residence Tuesday, January 20, 2009, was born January 28, 1935 in Lawrence County to Wade & Ina Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Erman and Connie Martin. She is survived by her husband, J. T. Tidwell; two sons, Wayne Lovett & wife Rhonda and Johnny Tidwell, all of Town Creek; one daughter, Tammy Tolbert & husband Jeff of Courtland; one sister, Shelby Winchester; six grandchildren, Angelia Sims, Nicky Lovett, Heath Lovett, Danuelle Terry, Dara Millsap & Corey Tolbert, 6 great grandchildren.
