Funeral for Ora Lee Allgood, 93, of Decatur will be Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Homd Chapel with Alan Watkins officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allgood, who died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital, was born October 16, 1916, in Cullman County to Robert Lee Cason and Minnie Goodlett Cason. Ora moved to Decatur at an early age. She was a lifelong member of Grant Street Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school, a member of the Rose Garden Club and a State Officer. She worked for SunDrop Bottling Co. for a number of years. Her husband of 64 years, Carl L. Allgood, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Charles Allgood of Decatur; nephew, Bill Cason of Whitwell, Tenn.; and niece, Linda McDonald of Killen.
