Obituary

Mrs. Ossie Belle Stone Holder, 88, of Florence, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 6, 2011.
The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. The funeral will follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel with the Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Haleyville.
Mrs. Holder grew up in Winston County and was the daughter of Sill Vance Stone and Josie Inez Burrow Stone. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Joseph, Bill, Horace, Earl, Leon, Jack, Penny Stone, Loverta Ward and Mary Tate.
She and Mr. Holder moved to Florence in 1955 and were long-time members of Highland Baptist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed growing and sharing her flowers with others.
Mrs. Holder is survived by her husband of 65 years Walter Clyde Holder, daughters Jane Almond and husband Rick of Florence and Beth Langcuster and husband Jim of Auburn; grandchildren Katie Almond of Nashville, Sarah Langcuster of Tuscaloosa and Maggie Langcuster of Auburn.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Phillips, Ronald Crumpton, Bobby King, John King, Rick Almond and Jim Langcuster. Honorary bearers will be Frank Holder, Mark Almond, Oscar Duke, Gene King, Tim Crumpton and Will King.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Tennessee Valley and Eldercare Services.
