Patricia Barnes McDonald age 82 of Florence passed away on Friday, January 09, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, January 12, 2015 from Noon till 2:00 P.M. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence with services in the Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Rev. James Webster will be officiating. Burial to follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ellis "Pel" Pelham McDonald Jr.

She is survived by two sons; John P. McDonald and David McDonald, both of Florence. Sister-in-law Virginia Rockett of Alpine, AL. Two nieces; Craig Anne Rockett of Alpine, Al and Ann Austin of Florence, Al. One granddaughter, Sylvia Pannell and husband Justin and one great granddaughter, Chloe Pannel all of Owens Cross Roads, AL

Mrs. McDonald was a Methodist and born and raised in Forrest, Mississippi. She attended the University of Alabama and worked for Alabama Gas in Birmingham.
