Patricia Ann McDonald, age 65 of Florence, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 5, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee, and spent much of her life there before making Alabama her home.

Patricia dedicated 25 years to a fulfilling career in nursing, a profession she truly loved. Her compassion and kindness left a lasting impression on every patient she cared for.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jean Barmer. She is survived by her loving children, Patrick McDonald, Jamie Underwood (Anthony Underwood), and Jessica Phillips (Ryan Phillips); and by her cherished grandchildren, Jameson Underwood, Marlee Underwood, and Olivia Phillips. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathy Gardner (David Gardner), William Barmer (Margie Barmer), and Tommy Barmer, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Clearview Cancer Institute, NAMC, and the many friends and family members who stood by Patricia's side during her final days. She will be remembered for her strength, her selflessness, and the deep love she had for her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 2PM to 4PM at Joe Wheeler State Park, Pavilion #3, 4403 McLean Dr., Rogersville, Al 35652. Light refreshments will be served. Friends and family are encouraged to bring their favorite stories and memories to share in her honor.
