Funeral for Patricia D. Sims, 60, of Trinity will be Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Hooper officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Sims, who died Monday, March 29, 2010, at her residence, was born December 4, 1949, in Baton Rouge, La., to Dan and Juanita Henry Dixon. She retired from Decatur General Hospital with over 30 years of service. She attended the Christ Worship Center. Survivors include her husband, Charles Sims; two sons, Doug Sims and his wife, Cherry, and Brent Sims and his wife, Debra; one brother, Michael Dixon of California; one sister, Terri Dixon of California; and six grandchildren who she thought the world of, Kristi, Alex, Walker, Wheeler, Daniel and Lily. Pallbearers will be nephews.
