Funeral for Paul Ray Finchum, 88, of Decatur will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Loosier officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Finchum, who died Saturday, October 9, 2010, was born December 5, 1921, in Morgan County to Luther Finchum and Burdie Markham Finchum. He was World War II Army veteran. He attended Caddo Congregational Christian Church. Mr. Finchum was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Howard Finchum, Wallace Finchum, A.J. Finchum; and a special friend, Rose Hampton.
Survivors include one nephew, Steve Finchum and wife, Deb; five nieces, Camilla McDowra and husband, John, Terry O'Brien and husband, Bill, Shirley Whitaker, Lisa Terry and Nancy Roberson, as well as several great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
