Paul Michael Hinton, 82, of Killen, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 23, 2026, 2:30 PM at Elkins East Chapel with Bro. Bryan McIntyre officiating.

Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Myrtice Reaves Hinton; brothers, Kenneth and Scott Hinton; sister, Shannon Powell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Spain Hinton; daughter, Robin Hinton Irons; granddaughter, Saragail Irons; nephews, John Dale Hinton and Andy Powell; niece, April Weaver.

Paul was a veteran of the US Navy and served on the Allen M. Sumner. He was a railroad engineer for over 30 years. His love of flying led him to become a private pilot and build two aircraft, a Kitfox and RV4. A true Southern Gentleman who is missed dearly.
