Paul Miller age 86 of Florence passed on February 23, 2012. Visitation will be at Elkins funeral home of Florence, Sunday February 26 from Noon till 2pm with services in the Chapel at 2pm. Charles Kretzer will be officiating. Burial will be at Tri Cities Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pall bearers. Paul was survived by son, Doug Miller and wife Kathy of Waterloo, AL, daughter Jan Whitley and husband Davey of Booneville, MS, and daughter Lisa Webb and husband Mike of College Grove, TN. He was also survived by his beloved friend Carmelita Yates of Florence. He was preceded by his wife Virginia Miller and his sister Anne Quiring. Mr. Miller was a member of the Church of Christ. He was one of our heroes that landed on the beaches of Iwo Jima during World War II while serving in the United States Marina Corp. Paul was also a long time volunteer at ECM Hospital.
