Mrs. Paulette Putman Hubbard, age 61, of Killen, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at ECM Hospital. Paulette was a 1967 graduate of Lexington High School and a graduate of Calhoun College and married on August 23, 1969. She worked at TVA until her health forced her to retire. She shared her talents for years by playing the piano and organ at the Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Most recently she became a member of the First Baptist Church, Killen. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvis Hulon Putman and Marjorie Cox Putman and an uncle John M. Cox, Jr. The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. David McKelvey and Bro. Terry Herston officiating. Ricky Ritter will provide musical selections. Burial will follow in the Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening, 6:00-9:00 at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband C. L. Hubbard; a daughter Tammy Hubbard Davis and her husband Edwin Davis IV of Orlando, Florida; a grandson Shelby Christian Davis; a life-long, special friend Treva Green of Greenhill. Pallbearers will be Danny Nix, Keith Putman, Jeff Gentle, Lloyd Love, Ronald Hubbard and Robert Hubbard. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the First Baptist Church, Killen or the Nebo CP Church, Lexington. The family would like to thank the church congregations and friends for the thoughts, prayers , food and visits during Paulette''s illness. Also , thanks to the nurses and technicians at ECM for their kindnesses and care and to Dr. Ricky Irons for his care and concern over the years.
