Pearlie Mable Jackson Goodwin beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away March 22, 2016, at the age of 93, after an extended illness.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2016, from 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Bro. James Waddell officiating. Burial will be at Civitan Cemetery.
Pearlie was a resident of Rogersville and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending bluegrass festivals and camping. She will be greatly missed by a host of friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Horace Gatlin and Johnnie W. Goodwin, Jr.; son, Verlon Gatlin and granddaughter, Kim Sides Pellegrin;
She is survived by sons, Danny Goodwin and wife Donna and Terry Goodwin and wife Karen; daughters, Gail Hudson and Barbara Spencer; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Gary Hudson, Ricky Graham, Joey Lash, Drew Shelton, Justin Goodwin, and Tyler Pigg.
