Philip Neal Gamble, Sr., 72, of Florence died Monday, November 23, 2015. He was born June17, 1943.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Elkins Funeral Home from 10-11 AM. A graveside service will be at 11:30 AM at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gamble was a native of Lauderdale County and a longtime member of the Muscle Shoals Area Street Rod Club.
Mr. Gamble was an automotive instructor at Allen Thornton Vocational School, Muscle Shoals Vocational School, and Northwest Shoals Community College for 32 years combined. He was on numerous State committees and served on the state curriculum committees for automotive mechanics for the state of Alabama. His pride and joy was in his family and his hobby of working on and driving his street rod.
Mr. Gamble was the son of the late Foy Neal and Virginia Wright Gamble.
Mr. Gamble is survived by his daughter, Donna Gamble Dean; son, Philip Gamble, II; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
