Obituary

Phyllis Nall Parker, 83, passed away at Mitchell Hollingsworth in Florence, AL on October 28. Born in Vine Grove, Kentucky to Claude and Sidney Nall, she attended Campbellsville College where she studied voice and music. In 1952, she married Harold Parker and they settled down in Florence in 1961.

She was a homemaker and loved music, travel, golf, bridge and the arts. For many years she was active in First Baptist Church choir, Mother singers, TVA Women''s Club and the Contemporary Study Club.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marguerite Ditto, and brother J G Nall. Survivors included her husband of 64 years, Dr. Harold Parker, children Cindy Childs (Richard) of Rome, GA and Linda Lamb (Kevin) of Franklin,TN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Katherine Glazer (David), Emily Childs, Margaret Ann Lamb, Rachel Graves (Andrew), and Parker Lamb and two great grandchildren Charlotte and Alec Glazer. Other survivors include in-laws Hassell (Marguerite), Howard (Estelle) Parker, Mildred (Jack) Chandler, Hubert (Nancy) Parker, Ruel (Linda) Parker and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Elkins Funeral Home Friday October 28 at 10 am with funeral service to follow at 11am with Rev Kevin Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Hassell Parker, Hubert Parker, Richard Childs, Kevin Lamb, Parker Lamb and Andrew Graves. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Park.
