Graveside service for Polly S. Martin, 86, of Decatur will be Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Conrey Jones officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Martin died Monday, May 4, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born March 17, 1923, in Morgan County to Lee and Willie Sparks of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Martin Jr.; and daughter, Leah Martin. Survivors include one brother, Ab Sparks of Florence; and three sisters, Tommie Rose and Betty Collins, both of Hillsboro, and Joann Cross of Decatur. The family request donations be made to the American Lung Association.
