Funeral service for Rachel Lansdell Carroll, 81 Decatur will be Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Eugene McNutt officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carroll who died Saturday Dec. 17, 2016 was born on Jan. 31, 1935, in Town Creek to Marvin Lansdell Sr. and Ina Mae Evans Lansdell. She was a devoted Wife and Mother who loved her family with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Howard Carroll, sister; Metha Cooper and three brothers; Marvin Lansdell Jr., Ronnie Lansdell and Wayne Lansdell.
She is survived by two sons; David Carroll and Tim Carroll, one brother; Jessie "Doc" Lansdell (Doris), one sister; Jo Hill (Harold), two grandchildren; Stephen and Stephanie Britt, one great-grandchild; Chris Britt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
