Rannie Augusta "Gussie" Brown Stewart, wife of the late Wilson Stewart.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Born February 28, 1920, in Morgan County to William Martin and Maggie Dean Roberts Brown. Died May 28, 2012.
She is survived by four daughters, Faye Glover, Judith McClellan, Gail Darnell and Kathy Counts, all of Decatur; one son, Jerone Stewart, Limestone County; nine grandchildren, Greg, Brent and Jody Scott, Chad McClellan, Susan Keenum, Stewart Stephenson, Kate Rogers, Memory Stewart and Tawny Patterson; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Two surviving sisters, Ruby Mitchell, Columbus, Ga., and Hilda Free, Lake City, Fla.
Deceased siblings, Dewey Brown, Clara Mae Johnson, Lonnie Brown, Irene Holloway, J.D. Brown and Bobby Brown.
Pallbearers will be Greg Scott, Brent Scott, Jody Scott, Chad McClellan, Stewart Stephenson and Don Stephenson.
