Rhoda H. Southern Lovelady Town Creek
Funeral for Rhoda H. Southern Lovelady, 96, of Town Creek will be Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Milton Burks and Bro. Hollis Rutherford officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lovelady, who died Sunday, May 9, 2010, was born September 30, 1913, in Savannah, Tenn., to Aldred Southern and Vennie Dennis Southern. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Leonard Lovelady; granddaughter, Marketa Crosswhite; and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, James Alfred Lovelady Sr. (Virginia) and Leonard Lovelady (Ellene), all of Town Creek; four grandsons, James Lovelady Jr. (Angela), Dr. Steve Lovelady (Nita), Michael Lovelady (LeeAnne) and the Rev. Roger Lovelady (Brenda); 12 grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
